Idina Kim Menzel is an American Jewish songwriter, actress, and musician who is well-known for her Broadway musical work. In 1996, she rose to fame as a stage actress with her role as Maureen Johnson in the popular Broadway musical ‘Rent.’ Her career took off in 2003 when she originated the role of Elphaba in another Broadway musical ‘Wicked.’
Menzel is also applauded for the voice-over of snow queen Elsa in the Disney animated film ‘Frozen.’ She has appeared in various films, including the film adaptation of ‘Rent’ (2005), ‘Kissing Jessica Stein’ (2001), ‘Just a Kiss’ (2002), ‘Water’ (2004), ‘The Tollbooth’ (2004), ‘Ask the Dust’ (2006), ‘Enchanted’ (2007), ‘Uncut Gems’ (2019), ‘Cinderella’ (2021), and ‘Disenchanted’ (2022).
