Franklin Wendell Welker is a senior Hollywood artist who has worked as an actor and voice-over artist in many popular American movies. He is the person behind famous characters like Scooby-Doo, Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, Soundwave, Curious George, and Orbitty. Walker is declared to be one of the most successful actors in the Hollywood industry. He is also the recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award.
Welker was initially interested in portraying only comedy characters. However, he appeared as a prominent actor in the 1980s. He was first signed by the makers of Scooby-Doo in 1969, for the role of Fred Jones. Later, they found him more suitable for the main character Scooby-Doo. In 1973, he featured in Hanna Barbera’s famous series ‘Super Friends,’ as Marvin White.
