Frances Elizabeth Bavier was born on December 14, 1902. She is famous for her stage and television roles such as Grace Kelly and Josephine Baker.
In 1967, she won an Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Comedy Actress for the role she played in the film. It is a Great Life (1954-1956). Frances Bavier movie is also well known for Bavier’s portrayal of Amy Morgan.
Beginning in New York’s theater, she moved into film and television in the 1950s and 1970s. Her role on ‘The Andy Griffith Show’ and’ Mayberry RFD dates’ back to the 1960s and 1970s.

In 1957, she portrayed “Aunt Maggie” Sawtelle, a character inspired by Ma Barker’s Old West era. It is incredible that Eve Arden, who was only six years younger than Bavier, played Nora Martin on The Eve Arden Show in 1957. She starred as Louise Marlow in Perry Mason’s eighth episode in 1990, “The Case of the Crimson Kiss.”
Throughout the show’s run, Baier had a love-hate relationship with her iconic role. After playing Bee for eight years, she returned to the show for two more seasons even though she felt overlooked as a New York City actress.
