Emily Jane Browning was born in Australia on 7 December 1988. Browning won the 2005 Australian Film Institute International Award for Best Actress. As of 2002, she has appeared on shows such as ‘High Flyers (1999)’, ‘Something in the Air’ (2000–2001), and ‘Blue Heelers ‘(2000–2002).
In 2002, her breakthrough role in Ghost Ship made her a household name. Aside from Emily Jane movies, she has also appeared in ‘The Uninvited’ and ‘Sleeping Beauty’ (2011). Her performance in ‘Sleeping Beauty’ won her the Breakthrough Performer of the Year Award at the 2011 Hamptons International Film Festival.
His other films include ‘Legend’ (2015) and ‘Pompeii’ (2014). In ‘Starz’s American Gods’ (2017-2021), she played the role of Laura Moon.
As a result of scheduling conflicts, Evan Rachel Wood was replaced by Jenna Browning in ‘Catherine Hardwicke’s Plush’. Browning also starred with Xavier Samuel, whom she met while filming.
Sebastián Silva’s film ‘Magic Magic’ was screened at the 2013 Sundance Film Festival. Browning directed Shangri-La Suite in 2014. The story centers on a young boy and the man he idolizes.
