Don Cheadle was born on November 29, 1964, in Los Angeles, California, USA. His career began in the 1990s with ‘Hotel Rwanda’ (2004). He won the Academy Award for portraying Rwanda hotel manager Paul Rusesabagina. He was co-producer of Crash, which won the Best Picture Oscar in 2005. In 2019, he was nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award for playing Maurice Monroe on ‘Showtime’s Black Monday’.
His role as Marty Kaan in ‘Showtime’s comedy House of Lies’ won him a Golden Globe, and he was appeared in ‘Devil in a Blue Dress (1995)’. A few recent Don Cheadle movies include ‘The Legend of Earl’ ‘The Goat’ Manigault (1996), ‘Rosewood’ (1997), and ‘Boogie Nights’ (1997.) Steven Soderbergh has collaborated with him on ‘Out of Sight’ (1998), ‘Traffic’ (2000), and ‘The Ocean’s Trilogy’ (2001-2007).
Cheadle gained global recognition in ‘Iron Man 2’ (2010), replacing Terrence Howard as War Machine. After appearing in the 1985 ‘comedy Moving Violations, Cheadle became eligible for a Screen Actors ‘Guild card’. His role was that of a teenager with learning difficulties in Hill Street Blues season 7’, episode 19. The following year, Cheadle plays Rocket in the film Colors. He also appeared in an orange jumpsuit in Angela Winbush’s 1989 hit ‘It’s the Real Thing’.
