Carrie Frances Fisher was a famous and versatile film actress who also worked as a writer in many American films. Many Carrie Fisher movies received international appreciation as well as nominations for Saturn Awards and Emmy Awards. The actress died at the age of 60 due to cardiac arrest.
Fisher got her first role at the age of 17 in the funny American movie ‘Shampoo’, as Lorna Karpf. After her film debut, she was seen in ‘Star Wars’ as Princess Leia Organa. Some other movie appearances include Anne Clark in ‘Under the Rainbow’ (1981), Lisa Rolfe in ‘Garbo Talks’ (1984), April in ‘Hannah and Her Sisters’ (1986), and Boynton in ‘Appointment with Death Nadine’ (1988).
She was also a passionate writer and two of her novels ‘Delusions of Grandma’ and ‘Surrender the Pink’ helped her in getting more writing work in the Hollywood movies like ‘Lethal Weapon 3,’ ‘Stop! Or My Mom Will Shoot’ (both 1992), ‘The Wedding Singer’ (1998), and ‘Outbreak’ (1995).
Her book ‘The Princess Diarist’ received a Grammy Award in 2018 and her famous role in ‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’ as Princess Leia Organa brought her a Teen Choice Award for Fantasy Actress.
