Bruce Lee was a famous Chinese martial arts instructor who is admired globally for his outstanding contribution to the Hong Kong action cinema. He worked as an actor, writer, producer, and director. Lee is considered to be one of the pioneers of mixed martial arts.
His father Lee Hoi-chuen was a film actor in HongKong. Bruce Lee entered the acting industry in his childhood and appeared in ‘Golden Gate Girl’ and ‘The Kid’ in small roles. While he was growing up, he started getting training for Wing Chun from Yip Man. Bruce Lee had to face criticism due to his non-Asian background, but he never let it affect his activity, and finally, he won the HongKong Boxing Tournament in 1958.
After winning many street fights and championships, Bruce Lee started representing martial arts in his movies. He featured as Kato in the action drama series ‘The Green Hornet.’ After giving a small appearance in ‘Ironside’ (1967), Bruce Lee started practicing and teaching martial arts at his institution Jun Fan Gung Fu. Meanwhile, he starred in ‘Longstreet’ and showed some exceptional martial arts skills to the world. He choreographed many famous fight scenes in Hollywood movies, including ‘A Walk in the Spring Rain’ (1970).
The most famous Bruce Lee movies that broke box-office records are ‘The Big Boss,’ ‘Fist of Fury,’ and ‘Game of Death.’ In 1973, Bruce Lee died of Cerebral edema, only six days before the release of his most high-budgeted movie ‘Enter the Dragon.’
