Billy Zane was born in Los Angeles in 1966. He is an actor, producer, and artist. In 1989, he was nominated for a Chicago Film Critics Award for Most Promising Actor based on his role in the Australian film Dead Calm. He made his appearance in several movies and television shows.
The list of Billy Zane’s movies is long however one of his best one is Titanic (2000), for which he received a Screen Actors Guild nomination.
He also won the Blockbuster Entertainment Award for Best Supporting Actor in a Drama. Among his many accomplishments was producing The Believer, a critically acclaimed film that won a Grand Jury Prize at Sundance in 2001. The movie starred him as neo-Nazi Curtis Zampf opposite Ryan Gosling.
His acting debut was in 1990 in independent film Megaville, which was a science fiction thriller on a low budget. In 1990 he appeared in Memphis Belle, a remake of a 1944 film about a World War II Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress bomber.
In 1991, Zane played John Justice Wheeler on Twin Peaks, a hit series created by David Lynch. Zanewas also starred alongside Tilda Swinton in 1992’s film adaptation of Virginia Woolf’s Orlando.
Billy Zane has starred in such films as Kit Walker in 1997’s The Phantom, Match in Back to the Future, Lieutenant Val Kozlowski in Memphis Belle (1990), and Richard Miller in Sniper. As well as his roles in Twin Peaks, he was the voice of Ansem in Kingdom Hearts (2002).
